cheap tequilla in cozumel

hey folks, just got back from an 11-nighter aboard celebrity's galaxy. one of our ports of call was cozumel where we heard tequilla was cheap and readily available. we found a few shops and unlike most ports where alcohol and goods are generally priced the same, we found alcohol prices in cozumel to vary greatly. with this said, the BEST prices we found were in town (centro) just to the right of the McDonald's. sorry can't remember the name but it is definetly worth the trip. btw, it is a general souvenir store but has a big alcohol section. the mexican made liquoirs averaged about $7-8 a bottle compared that to about $15 at a more fancier store just a block or two away. the real smooth tequilla in the long blue/white genie bottle was about $18 less, and my favorite, the 1921 cream tequilla was about $12 less. happy shopping!
