Any info on SOLARA SURFSIDE? or VILLA ORLEANS? FLL and MIAMI areas

Found a one bedroom for post-cruise in Jan. at Solara Surfside for $130.00, and am wondering how far it is from Port Everglades/Ft. Lauderdale Airport, and if anyone knows how much taxi would be? Also, has anyone stayed at the Villa Orleans in Lauderdale By The Sea? Checking into one bedroom their too, and any info would be helpful. THANKS!

The hotel is about 15 miles from the airport and about 20 from the Port Everglades.

 

I prefer taking A1A up the coast between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Not only is the drive beautiful, the distance is shorter and much less stressful.
