ck1234 Posted May 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2006 Hi there, was wondering if anyone knows what RCCL charges to convert the Seapass amount to my currency on my credit card? On my Set Sail pass, it gives the option that RCCL can convert it to CDN for a fee and then they will put the CDN amount on my credit card. I just called my credit card company and they say they charge the rate of exchange at the day it's posted plus 2.5% more on the amount charged....Just wondering which way I should go! Thanks for any advice! :)
Magicat Posted May 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2006 Hi - we always ask for it to remain in U.S. funds, RCI charges more to convert to CDN then the bank does. Happy cruising!
FitzLA Posted May 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2006 Just let them charge in u.s currency and let your credit card company convert it. It will be cheaper that way without the RCI fees for doing so.
