Tibear Posted May 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2006 We would like to go to the Private Island for the day during our stop in Aruba, but need to know what the set up is on the Island. One of the group members has ms and can only walk short distances so a w/c would be very helpfull. It's hard to tell from the few pictures if there a walk way between the pier and the restaurant/ beaches area. Any help on the physical layout of the place would be really helpfull. DKLI Posted June 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2006 Don't know if you still need this info...we were on Renaissance Island on May 9th. We loved it! There is a walk way between the two beaches. When you get off the water taxi, there's a boardwalk-type entrance that continues on to the right side beach. That beach is a little further from the main area, store/rental hut, bathroom. The other beach, to the left, does have a walk way to the restaurant. If you get the day pass for $50/pp they give you a free lunch (which is pretty good) and a drink and rental equipment of either a float or snorkel equipment. Hope that helps some. Tibear Posted June 2, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted June 2, 2006 Thanks that is very helpful As long as there is a solid path to walk/ wheel on it makes a world of difference.
