Northern Europe Russia & Baltics

Recommended Posts

We did a private tour in St. Petersburg with Red October. They customized some of the sites for us and the guide was excellent. We toured for 2 days. They will accomodate various group sizes, from 2 and up. We were ten people one day and eight the other. The more people you have, the cheaper it is. Also, I think you need either 8 or 10 people to tour the Gold Rooms in the Hermitage -very worthwhile. If you post on here, you may find others on your ship who want to tour with you. We did that.

In Copenhagen, we took an afternoon bike tour that was also great. We also booked that on our own, not with the ship.

Has anyone done a private tour on their own in Russia and the Baltics? Going in 6/07 and would like some input.

We only speak English, would it be a problem doing our own tour in Baltic city...thanks..

You will have no difficulties at all in any of the Baltic countries. Especially no difficulty in the Scandinavian countries.
