A-Z Planners - Ocho Rios, Fantastic day !!!

We just returned from a cruise with Royal Caribbean and planned our day in Ocho Rios with A-Z Jamaica Planners. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and we would highly recommend their services. They have pre-planned packages to choose from but we chose to customize our day to accomodate our desires. They were very helpful planning our day suggesting places to see and eat. They communicate specifics with you before leaving so you know exactly what to expect from the moment you step off the pier. We were met by Mickey, our tour guide for the day. He was absolutely wonderful! He was extremely pleasant and informative telling us about our day and what to expect. He gave us an indepth history of the island and the people as we drove to Dunn's River Falls. We were ahead of the tour groups so we got to climb the falls before it became crowded. Mickey walked along the the side giving us tips on where to go and how to maneuver the way. We appreciated his attention to our desire to look for a painting in the shops at the end of the Falls. The entire day we were never pressured by the shop owners as Mickey knew them all. We then were off to the Wassi Pottery Factory. It was great. It's amazing how pottery starts with a watery mix and comes out into such beautiful artwork. They are truly gifted artists. We went to Fern Gully and enjoyed the history of the area and sights. The "strip mall" shops were interesting. Mickey took us by a gentleman at a roadside shop to hear about the native medical system and herbs used locally for healing.... very interesting. We were next off to Mahogany Beach for lunch at an outdoor beach side restaurant. We had asked to go to a more local spot for lunch and Mickey found the perfect place. We enjoyed some time on the beach then took off for the shops near Margaritaville. Our day with A-Z Planners and Mickey was very personalized and fun. It cost us $66 for the entire day, which was quite reasonable. We highly recommend A-Z and Mickey for a great day in Jamaica. We plan to go to Montego Bay next year and will definitely seek them out for our plans.

Sorry it took me so long to get back, out of town working and back to reality ! My husband and I were the only two people in our group traveling with Mickey and A-Z our day in Jamaica. We were in a minivan that could accomodate more though. Belinda at A-Z emailed us several "pre-planned" trip ideas to choose from then we customized some of the ideas to make a day of what we wanted to do in Ocho Rios.
