flying home from Miami just before Superbowl

I am thinking of booking with Airtran (Gulfport, MS. to Miami) and back. Our cruise is from 1/20/07-1/27/07. I believe this is the weekend before the Superbowl in Miami. Do you think I will have any problems getting home after the cruise. From what I gather, most of the hotels are filled so the last thing I want is a delayed flight.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Why do you think you would have a problem getting home just because it is the weekend before the Super Bowl? You would be leaving Miami, not heading TO Miami. I don't think you will have any problems, barring an unforeseen aircraft mechanical problem or weather problem.

We flew home from Detroit the weekend before the Superbowl this year, and the only thing that would tell you the Superbowl was in town the next week was all the banners everywhere. I would only be concerned with getting a hotel room the weekend of the game, or flying out on the Monday after the game. The week before should have no issues, (game related anyway LOL).
