shelleyr25 Posted August 18, 2005 #126 Share Posted August 18, 2005 Ridolphi- I just need to check something on our agenda. They show that we have a private Bon Voyage cocktail party before dinner but they havent posted the time yet. I just emailed the TA to see if they have that schedule yet so I will let you know when they get back to me.

ridolphi Posted August 18, 2005 #128 Share Posted August 18, 2005 Shelly - thats fine to meet up after dinner somewhere. I tried to email you, but you have your preference set for not receiving emails - so why don't you try to email me, I think I fixed that problem last year and you should be able to email me. We will very likely head for the Casino after dinner, so maybe the Casino Bar would be a good place.....before I start depositing my money! haha!:D :D
cruiser02 Posted August 20, 2005 #129 Share Posted August 20, 2005 We are also on the NY-Bermuda August 31st Ready to go ........
shelleyr25 Posted August 20, 2005 #130 Share Posted August 20, 2005 JoAnn...I was unable to email you too. It says that this feature is not available right now for both of us. Anyway, the casino bar sounds perfect. Knowing my dh, I am sure we will end up there after dinner too!! LOL!! Do you want to say around 9:30 or so?? Is that too early for you?? ridolphi Posted August 21, 2005 #131 Share Posted August 21, 2005 Well of course it depends on what time we actually end up going to dinner, but, why don't we move up to 10:00pm, that way, we have plenty of time to enjoy dinner and not rush, just in case! So, will meet you in the Casino Bar around 10pm on the 10th!! Now, as to the email thing - I really don't deal with CC board well anymore, too many complications, too many rules, and one never knows when their email is turned on or off or not accepting... whatever - anyway will check it out, but FYI you can email me at ridolphi@aol.com, and if I've broken one or several rules, which is most likely by posting this, then so be it - hopefully you will get the post:D before this is deleted - which it probably will be! In any case - see you onboard on the 10th around 10:00pm in the Casino Bar. JoAnn:D
ridolphi Posted August 21, 2005 #132 Share Posted August 21, 2005 Shelly - I checked my profile as well, and I do have it checked to receive emails from other members, but I agree with you it says "This feature is not available at this time" so obviously its something with the CC board, as I certainly have not limited this in my profile - well whatever! We will be on the same ship at the same time - so there we go!:D

carpese Posted August 30, 2005 #134 Share Posted August 30, 2005 Who else is sailing with us? We're in the homestretch now - 4 weeks and counting! Sailed on Navigator last year on its repo cruise - loved every moment of it and looking forward to returning again! Susan:)
Lanie Posted September 18, 2005 #135 Share Posted September 18, 2005 My husband and I are booked on the Navigator Canada/New England, leaving from Montreal on October 1. Has anyone else done this cruise? :)
Joanandjoe Posted September 26, 2005 #136 Share Posted September 26, 2005 We've just returned from the 9/16 to 9/24 version of this cruise, and loved it. We had two ports (Charlottetown and Sydney) that you won't have, and much less time (with awful weather) in Quebec. If you have any specific questions, just ask. Lanie Posted September 27, 2005 #139 Share Posted September 27, 2005 Hi, JoanandJoe. What will the weather be like on next week's cruise (Montreal to New York)? What type of clothes should we bring? Should we plan to "layer" with short sleeves, sweaters, jackets, etc.? Or do we bring all cold weather clothing? Did you need raincoats? ...and, How many formal nights? What did you like best about the Navigator? The only Radisson ship we have experienced was the Paul Gauguin. It was wonderful! Lanie
Joanandjoe Posted September 27, 2005 #140 Share Posted September 27, 2005 Your cruise is 15 days after ours, so the weather may have changed quite a bit. We had cold and misearble weather in Montreal and Quebec City, windy down the St. Lawrence, then beautiful starting in Charlottetown (which you won't be visiting). If you go to www.weather.com, you can get weather averages and, as you get closer, long range forecasts. For example, as of now the forecasts are: Montreal 10/1. Mostly sunny. High 66, low 52. Quebec 10/2. Partly cloudy. High 69, low 51. Quebec 10/3. Sunny. High 62, low 39 (!). St. Lawrence (Baie-Comeau) 10/4. Sunny. High 54, low 40. Halifax 10/5. Showers, high 56, low 40. Forecasts that far out aren't worth much. However, yes you'll need layers of clothing, rain gear (preferably hooded), and maybe gloves if you get cold at 40 (Joan does, Joe doesn't get cold). Your cruise documents should indicate the dress code. We had no formal nights, 3 informal (jacket, no tie) nights, and five casual nights. We loved the cruise, but probably won't have time to write a review for another week to 10 days. We did hate the disaembarkation in NYC - a zoo, and we didn't get off the ship until 2 1/2 hours after we arrived because five ships were in port. You'll also have a zoo, with four ships in port (Navigator, Goolden Princess, Carnival Triumph, and QM2), unless the QM2 docks in Brooklyn instead of Manhattan. Be patient! hvsteve1 Posted September 29, 2005 #142 Share Posted September 29, 2005 We're booked on the Navigator from San Juan on March 6. Anybody else? Anyone done this trip? We're using it as a nice way to get our first look at the Carribbean in the short time we have to do it.
dfb Posted September 30, 2005 #143 Share Posted September 30, 2005 Steve, Not on your cruise, but we did the same itin. last year on Diamond. Wrote a trip journal about what we did and where, if you're interested. http://journals.aol.com/dfriia/RSSCDiamondSanJuanRT22005/entries/628 Enjoy your short winter trip to the sun, Debbie
MiaPortia Posted October 5, 2005 #144 Share Posted October 5, 2005 Hi, Whalebone - Mark and I are also booked on Voyager's 12/5 chocolate cruise... We've sailed on Mariner and Navigator, but this will be our first trip on Voyager; I'm really looking forward to it! Any others joining us? DoctorTom Posted October 5, 2005 #145 Share Posted October 5, 2005 My partner Bill and I will also be on the Voyager for the Chocolate Cruise. It will be our first time on the Voyager as well. We've been on the Mariner before. I'm not sure what to expect about the "Chocolate" portion of the cruise. Any ideas? Tom
MiaPortia Posted October 6, 2005 #146 Share Posted October 6, 2005 Hi, Tom- Not sure either, but I'm certain the chocolate will be spectacular! We have also sailed on Mariner and had the delight of attending a "chocolate" tea... it was wonderful! Look forward to meeting you and Bill on board -- Mia
