Rare CTCruisers Posted May 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2006 We have had bad experiences with excessive air conditioning and we are packing for our cruise on the Dawn. How are the public areas on the Dawn, temperature wise?
BarbCT605 Posted May 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2006 We have had bad experiences with excessive air conditioning and we are packing for our cruise on the Dawn. How are the public areas on the Dawn, temperature wise? I've always found the public areas comfortable -- neither too hot nor too cold. Your stateroom has an easy-to-use thermostat, so you can adjust it to your own "comfort zone."
Dolphins Posted May 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 18, 2006 We have had bad experiences with excessive air conditioning and we are packing for our cruise on the Dawn. How are the public areas on the Dawn, temperature wise? Our experience on the Dawn (4 cruises) has been that the air conditioning was fine in the public areas, better a little too cool (wear a jacket) than too hot. We also thought the cabin AC was easily adjusted to your personal tastes.
EileenN Posted May 18, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 18, 2006 I found most restaurants to be a little cool and in the evenings wore 3/4 sleeves or a light jacket. The lounges were the same. A shawl was handy to have.
tsunami mommy Posted May 18, 2006 #5 Share Posted May 18, 2006 The only public room I found to be a little cool upon entry was the "Spinnaker". That is of course before the "Happy Drinks" kicked in. :D
angeljt Posted May 18, 2006 #6 Share Posted May 18, 2006 We've never found any of the public rooms too cold or too hot, and I like it cool and DH likes it a little warmer. We were both comfortable without any sweaters, wraps, etc. I guess it depends on your personal comfort zone. It won't hurt to carry some type of cover up for the first day to see how you react to the temps. Enjoy the Dawn. Jackie
