Discovery/Galapagos

Just a few thoughts that might interest those considering this ship.

Some itineraries are more imaginative than is the norm and has a great/ friendly & very hard working Filipino crew and is kept extremely clean.

However, it lacks a professional touch and is without any atmosphere apart from a dull one and in certain areas really gloomy!

Supposedly going in for 12 days to dry dock at years end, not sure what will be achieved, though they really need to work on the entertainment and food as well !!

In summary an interesting port selection but an unmemorable cruising experience.

A disappointing report. We eagerly await reports on Discovery hoping to find that they have sorted out the food problem but obviously not. It is the one thing that stops us booking with them again which is a shame as as you say they have some good itineraries.
