Rome to Bari........how far?

Recommended Posts

We will be in Rome this Sept. and will be arriving two days before boarding. We have scheduled a full day tour on our 2nd day but will have the day we fly in free. My husbands mother comes from Bari and we would like to visit the area. Is it possible? We land at 11am and have not scheduled anything for that day. I am hoping that some of you who are familiar with the area might be able to give me some feedback.

Thanks.

Bari is 281 miles southeast of Rome. You can get there via train or plane. Check the Alitalia and Trenitalia websites for schedules. Keep in mind that domestic flights often depart from Ciampino airport, and you most likely will be arriving at Fiumicino. Also Stazione Termini in Rome is about 30 minutes from the airport via train.

HTH!
