On your 10th cruise with Carnival (not any of their other ships) are you considered Platinum. All cruises count, even the 2 day cruise to no-wheres

thanks for letting me know. soon i will be at that stage. i wish i could do the 2 day and no-wheres but i live in the midwest so getting to ports is a major thing for me. the longer cruises are the best anyway :D

I love the idea of these perks, but I think 10 is a lot of cruises to go on before you get the perks. I think it should start off at 5 or 6 and have different levels w/ 10 and over cruisers having the best perks - I only recently became addicted so I have a long way to go, but I think that I would work harder at getting to 6 cruises rather than 10 - that is hard to accomplish! I guess I should send carnival's marketing department an e-mail with my ideas!

Does anyone know if you get bigger discounts or better upgrades as you go up in the cruising #'s?

I am a platinum member now, having jsut finished my 11th cruise. I did get many of the new perks but didn't receive special tags for luggage or even acknowledgement prior to being on the ship. I had heard they had one but the cruise agent I used was very little help even in booking let alone letting Carnival know. Although it should have come up in their computer when they printed the tickets I would think. When I got onboard I had the platinum card so it wasn't like they didn't know. Who knows, perhaps I will have better luck with that the next time I cruise. My friend wants us to join her and her family on the June 5th cruise... we just got off the Triumph like 2 weeks ago. Don't I WISH!

jeffdal,

My DH and I recently cruised on the Glory and we are Platinum. We really enjoyed all the perks, especially the priorty boarding and debarkation. The announcement said for the suites and Platinum could meet at 7:15. My DH cannot walk very far, so we always ask for a wheel chair, we were able to leave the ship at our leisure. Around 9:30 we went to the Pursers desk, told them we were Platinum and Dh needed assistance. Within minutes a wheelchair arrived and took us out onto the parking lot where the Radisson shuttle picked us up. Super service with a big smile! I didn't use the priorty tender board, simply be cause I forgot about it! But will next time. Also didn't use the blackjack ticket, don't gamble at all. But I took full advantage of the wash and fold service. We each recieved a really nice tote bag. That was our thirteenth cruise, so felt like real VIPs! Am currently shopping for our next one. Right now I am suffering from PCD (post cruise depression). :o

Luv's Crusin'
