bigjohn72 Posted May 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2006 Has anyone heard of any movie festival cruises, besides the Roger Ebert cruises on Disney? It souds like a great idea for movie buffs that also want to experience some warm weather and beaches. Imagine cruising with (or without maybe) a noted film critic(s) and/or director(s) and/or producer(s), etc. and screening films (2-3 per day) with discussion and Q&A sessions, with plenty of time to catch some rays on the pool deck, go ashore for excursions, and catch other fun things to do on the cruise. You could do anything from a specific timeframe of movies (50s, 60s, Depression-era, WWII, modern, post-modern, etc.), genres (musicals, sci-fi, noir, war, westerns, independent), specific directors (Scorsese, DeMille, Spielberg, etc.), etc., etc. Any thoughts? davispigeon Posted October 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2006 It sounds like fun. Not sure how to get something going like that, though. Maybe one of the film organizations does something like that?
