Promenade cabins

Recommended Posts

Would like comments on Promenade cabins, both pro and con. Looking at Freedom booking and a PR category to watch the shows, people and parades.

Had stayed in OS, GS, JS and standard balcony category on down to inside cabin and thought we'd like to try something different, especially on the Freedom and go back to the room and still enjoy the sites. I know the size of the cabin, etc would be similiar to the standard balcony.

Thanks

Dave

Promenade cabins -

Pros - better than an inside cabin as you at least have window where you can see something although a view of the promenade is not a replacement for a view of the ocean. You can watch the parades from your cabin without being in the middle of a crowd.

Cons - None really. You just need to remember to keep the curtains closed when necessary as the people on the other side of the promenade can see in to your cabin and vice cersa. Noise is not an issue as the window glass is pretty thick.

We had a promenade cabin on the Adventure and we liked it so well we booked another on the Freedom. It is nice to sit on the window seat and watch what is going on on the promenade. The only drawback is the way the bed is positioned there isn't a lot of walking around room. It is pretty tight between the bed and the vanity.

Here are some pictures I took of my Voyager promenade cabin:

There are pictures of our towel animals on p.2 and the shower on p.4.

We got two connecting cabins for the kids and ourselves and had a ball. The window gave it some openness and it was tons of fun to people-watch and to watch the parades...from which we heard very little noise (both a plus and a minus):)
