shore excursions Mexico

I have been looking at the shore excursions offered on our cruise to the Mexican Riviera in Sept.2006. I would like to swim with the dolphins. Listed are two: one in Acapulco "Swimming with the Dolphins" and one in Puerto Vallarta " Dolphin Encounter". Can anyone tell me which one is the better choice and why. I have read the descriptions and can't seem to make up my mind. Thank you.

If you want to get into the water and swim with them then you need the "swim with the dolphins". The dolphin encounter allows you to stand in knee/waist deep water and pet them as they come near you. It's not much different than a trip to a marine park, standing next to the tank. So which one is better depends on your budget, if you like to swim in saltwater and feel comfortable in cool water, and if you get nervous with a large (albeit tame) animal nearby.

I'd swim with them myself :)
