First timers to Cozumel

We will be in Cozumel on 17 July on the Ecstasy. Looks like we'll be the only ship in port. We will be limited in our mobility because of DD in a wheelchair.

How will we know which dock we will be using? Also, if it is the International pier, it looks like it is some distance to downtown (i.e. Carlos 'n Charlie's, for example). Can anyone approximate the distance? Thanks

IP to CnC´s = 3.7 kms or 2.3 miles.

Cozumel, San Miguel in particular has become more accessible than before with cutouts at the curbs along Megal Blvd and fewer poles blocking the sidewalks. The plaza area is also wc friendly.

 

Unfortunately, once you move away from the main areas you will encounter high curbs in places, uneven sidewalks etc. The plus is that with parking on one side of the street, you can have easier access walking in the street.

You will be at the SSA pier, docked. There are a couple of taxi vans outfitted with wheelchair lifts.

Weelchair lifts would be great! Thanks. Which is the SSA pier? I've heard of Interntional, Punta Langosta, and Puerta Maya.

I believe that is the International pier.
