single supplement or 3rd pax?

I know generally the single supplement on an inside cabin is 50%; on a suite it's 100%. An outside cabin is somewhere in between---190%, I believe.

The charge for a 3rd/4th person in a cabin varies by the cruise, but is usually very reasonable.

I went single on april 2 on the ryndam 14 days. I went on the

share program. i knew that on a 14 days cruise , I HAD

A GOOD CHANcE OF CRUISING ALONE. I got lucky and I had the

room to my self. A couple of times when i went on a 7 days

I had to share it with some body, i was lucky to a nice room mate

You were so lucky to get the room to yourself.

On my Amsterdam 30 day cruise, I don't think any of the single shares wound up with their own cabin. Everybody found themselves linked up with a roomie ... and some of those pairings were not matches made in heaven.

For what HAL charges for the single supplement ... and believe me, you CAN get deals on inside cabins well below 150% ... I'd rather just have the cabin to myself than risk being paired with an incompatible roommate.

Blue skies ...

Third person (DD) for October Westerdam was about $200 less than for each of us. I was a little surprised, more than happy to pay, since we had such a low rate on 3rd person on RCI in Feb.
