JeweliM Posted May 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2006 On our first RCI cruise last August, we (me, DH & 2 oldest sons- 3rd son is still too young) joined C & A. We will be going on our second RCI cruise this coming August. Because this is only our second RCI cruise, do we "qualify" to receive any of the coupons that I read about? If so, are they automatic or do I have to fill anything out? When will they come? My sons will be staying in a seperate cabin- will they get their own- or will they come all in one envelope? Also, what types of coupons are they? Thanks for any guidance you can give.
Driftwoodgal Posted May 29, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2006 If you are signed up with Crown and Anchor and have registered your cruise with the C & A you should have your level coupon booklet in your cabin shortly after your first day. I would call and make sure that I am a Crown and Anchor member before the cruise.
RoyalWoman Posted May 29, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2006 When you booked your upcoming cruise, did you provide them with you C&A number? As long as you did, you will receive your coupon books on the first day/night. Each member will get their own book. There are a variety of coupons; 10% at the spa, free Johnny Rockets, discount at Ben and Jerry's, wine stuff, picture stuff, etc.... Hope this helps. :)
WECoyote Posted May 29, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2006 If you booked the current cruise and gave them your C & A number, then you will receive a "Gold" member book. As I recall there are coupons for discounts on pictures, a free drink, casino play, discounts on RCI logo merchandise, and maybe a few others. As you move up in the ranks the coupons get better. If you didn't remember to book and give them your number, then call your travel agent or RCI (whoever is handling the reservation) and have them add the numbers to your booking. If your SeaPass doesn't have Gold Member on the bottom when you check in then see the C & A Loyalty Ambassador on board the ship and they will fix you up. Once your third son hits 18, then he will get credit for all previous cruises. Our youngest just turned 18 and was immediately granted the same diamond status that my wife & I have, she has only cruised enough to be platinum. Surprised us! beachchick Posted May 29, 2006 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2006 WECoyote: The reason she was given the same status is that she lives with you (I assume, of course). In order to keep families happy, all those living at the same address are all given the same C&A level. Now, here's the catch. This is only for family members at the same address. Once your DD moves out on her own, her status will revert to whatever she has actually earned from cruises she has taken. (See, now we know why the kids don't want to leave the nest...it's the C&A level. LOL.) beachchick
gailc Posted May 29, 2006 #6 Share Posted May 29, 2006 You will also get an invitation to the Welcome Back/Repeater's party. Gail

I figured once someone was at a certain level they would not later be "demoted"!
JeweliM Posted May 29, 2006 Author #8 Share Posted May 29, 2006 Thanks for all of your responses. TA did include all of our C & A member numbers on our reservation- so it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks esp for the tip about having "Gold Member" on our seapass. If it's not there- I'll go to the loyalty desk to correct it. Julia Ann
negc Posted May 29, 2006 #9 Share Posted May 29, 2006 Wow, I did't know that. I figured once someone was at a certain level they would not later be "demoted"! They aren't, or at least in my daughter's case, she wasn't. She has since married and lives at a different address and when we checked with C&A at the time we booked a family cruise on Freedom, she has Diamond status, because when she lived at home and took her only RCI cruise with us, we were at Diamond level. When her husband completes the Freedom cruise, it is my understanding that he will also be classified as a Diamond member even though it is his first RCI cruise. It seems a bit illogical but I doubt either my daughter or son-in-law will complain.
WECoyote Posted May 30, 2006 #10 Share Posted May 30, 2006 This all very interesting info! I am definitely going to have to keep an eye on their status.... although it does seem like I'm going to have to toss a couple of the "little birdies" out of the nest to get rid of them..hehe Bill (negc)...see you on board! WECoyote Posted May 30, 2006 #12 Share Posted May 30, 2006 I thought I had read the repeat party is only on 7 nights or more. We leave for a 4 night this weekend. Any one been invited to a repeat party for short trips? There has always been a C & A party for platinum and above on all cruises. I do know the Monarch and Danney League has one every cruise, both the three day and four day.
gailc Posted May 30, 2006 #13 Share Posted May 30, 2006 I don't know about the cruises of less than 7 days. There are 2 parties. There is the Repeater's party for anyone Gold or higher. Then there is another one for Platinum & above. We go to both of them. The one for Platinum & above serve a luncheon. Very nice. Gail
