lilly707 Posted May 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2006 Looking for feedback from anyone who has done the Mendenhall Glacier and Salmon Bake excursion in Juneau. I was about to book it and thought I'd reach out for some feedback first. We are cruising with Princess on the Coral on July 10th and can't wait. Thanks and hope someone can help. Budget Queen Posted May 30, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2006 If you want extended time at the glacier, go on your own. A tour option that is excellent and cheap are the MGT Mendenhall TOUR buses, get to Chapel on the Lake plus several other narrated stops. As for Gold Creek Salmon Bake, there was one poor review this season. I found it good, but do prefer the Thane Ore House for salmon. Gold Creek is a very nice setting and do a good job at moving lines. They are large group based.
