Royal Caribbean InternationalCBS3 in Philadelphia reported on a case of a crew member diagnosed with typhoid fever and that "thousands of passengers may have been exposed to the life-threatening illness." The bartender joined the ship April 29th, arriving from India, and was taken off duty May 11th "with flu-like symptoms."

Yes, this story was in the local news...as part of that story on Channel 3 no other crew members (including roommates) or passangers reported any symptoms and RCCL notified CDC.
