Formals?

We are doing the Conquest. Someone said that the Captain's night is fancier. Well we are doing shopping now. We just found some formals at a very good price. Would two formals for this ship be overdoing it?

Is it a 7 day itinerary? If so, you'll have 2 formal nights so this would not be over doing it. First night you tend to see most people participate in formal night and more on the fancier side. Second formal night you see a few that don't participate and a few that go a bit more casual. For example, first night you'll see a lot of floor length dresses and second formal you may see more t-length or knee length dresses. Personally we go all the way for both nights. It's our chance at a grown up prom! My husband wears his tux both nights and I wear full length both nights.
