Becky_Mac Posted May 31, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2006 I just realized that I will be in Bermuda for the Queen's Birthday which is considered a holiday. Since it is a holiday, will shops, etc. be open? I am just trying to plan my week. I was hoping to see the parade but also wanted to do a bit of shopping that day. Thanks! PhillyCruiser Posted May 31, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 31, 2006 I was on the Horizon docked in Hamilton on the Queen's birthday several years ago. We had a fabulous view of the parade from the upper decks of the ship. We had the best seats in the house, actually! We went to the beach after the parade. In terms of shopping, I hope that you are in Bermuda more than one day. Joan
Becky_Mac Posted May 31, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted May 31, 2006 I was actually wondering if we would be able to see the parade from the ship. We are in Burmuda for several days so I think I will head to the beach after as well. Was Gibbs Lighthouse open or anything like that? I also thought about getting a tour of the island from a cab...I figured there must be some cabs working that day. Thanks!
PhillyCruiser Posted May 31, 2006 #6 Share Posted May 31, 2006 You'll have no problem getting a cab. I have no idea about the lighthouse, but the cabdriver will know if it's open or not. Have a great time! I have to wait until August for my Bermuda fix. Joan
