Mini Suite or Separate Cabins on the Dawn

I may be about to talk DD and DGD into joining DH and me on the Dawn in August. If I do we'll have a couple of options: 1. Upgrade from our current BA to a mini-suite or perhaps higher or 2. Book DD and DGD into a separate cabin.

I'm still new to cruising in general and to the Dawn in particular. Will mini-suites accommodate three adults and an adult size 12 year old?

Hi, I would suggest 2 cabins as the third and fourth people in a mini-suite would be sharing a pull out sofa. DS had no problem with this but not sure how comfy an adult plus a 12 year old would find it. 2 cabins also gives the advantage of 2 bathrooms and some more privacy. Another option might be to look at one of the penthouses which sleep 4 which I think are AC or AB category. Have a look at the deckplan here on the NCL Europe website as they can be enlarged for easy viewing of which cabins connect, sleep 4 etc.

One BD and one J adds up to 5,581.72, which saves your pocketbook $500.

You can share the ocean views with the others from the one balcony cabin.

I believe there's a discount on the second cabin when you book two cabins, so this pricing is higher than what you'll see.

By the way, two J adds up to 5,041.72, about the same as the AG, which is also probably much cheaper after you get the second cabin discount.

We were faced with the same question when booking 4 people on the Dawn for June 17th and after pricing a mini-suite vs 2 balconies we decided to pay a bit more and booked an AB suite- figure that way we get much more space plus all the benefits of a suite (butler, priority embarkation etc). There are 2 bedrooms, although one is quite smalll and 2 bathrooms plus a shared living/dining area so we think it will work well for us (although we are 2 adults and 2 kids, but 1 of the kids is 16!)
