stan wood Posted June 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2006 We are taking the shuttle into Denali in July and it sounds like it will be 10 or 11 hours for the entire trip. We are considering purchasing one of the box lunches from a local restaurant since we are leaving at 6:45 am. Has anyone bought one of these lunches and would were you satisfied with your purchase. SEPyle Posted June 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2006 We stopped at Subway and took along a combination meal including sub/chips/drink. Worked really well for us and sure did taste good!
Budget Queen Posted June 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2006 I most always go to Wonder Lake. My take ins are a jar of peanut butter, nice bread and jam. Bag of chips, plenty of napkins, plastic knife and a 4 pack of muffins. I am happy and no refridgeration needed. :) This is ideal if you are driving, stop in Wasilla or Fairbanks and do your shopping. :) Subway is open 24 hours. I do think Bubb's Subs are a tad better, but I have only gotten them for eating then and there, not for later. Overall the purchased bag lunches are very good. I sure have seen plenty of them on my trips, even recognize where some come from. Never any complaints. :)
