smitch57 Posted June 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2006 Last year I cruised to PV, Matzalan, and Cabo. I went fishing in Matzalan, no catches, calm water. I talked to a group of people on our ship and they went fishing in Cabo. They caught a couple, but the water was rougher and they got sick. This year I'm going to Alcapulco, Ixtapa, and Manziailla. I'm planning on fishing again, not sure where yet, and don't care about getting sick this time. I will put up with the sea sickness to catch a mariln. If anyone has suggestion on where the best fishing is, please let us know. Good luck.
Splinter Posted June 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2006 I don't know about the "best" but every time I have been to Cabo I have seen many sports fishing boats returning to the dock with fishermen (and women) with flags indicating that they had major catches. I think you are more likely to get dorado (dolphin) than marlin though, and nearly all the marlin fishing here is catch and release.
fishinglady Posted July 2, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 2, 2006 We went at Mazatlan through Viking Fleet last October. I can give details if you'll email me at cjhine1@aol.com. - I'd go Cabo instead.
