Wow! The Sapphire is in Glacier Bay and it's gorgeous there today and sunny sunny and lovely in Skagway... if you headed up that way this will be way way enticing (and if you have a year to go like we do, it's a good "fix";) )

Hi there - hope I can help! :) I just read your post...

 

We haven't been on our Alaskan cruise yet, but from what I understand, the climates in late July-August can be as warm as most other ports. No guarantee, of course, it might be cold and rainy...but isn't that true of everywhere? ;)

 

You should go to the "Alaska" board under "Ports of Call." They are so knowledgeable, and might provide great ammo...er, INSIGHT, for the discussion with your husband.

Caroline, You read my mind! I was watching the bridge cam yesterday and today for the CP and it was clear and gorgeous in Ketchikan and Juneau today. I hope our weather is as nice in July.
