volfan22701 Posted June 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2006 we are on the october 8th sailing on the victory from norfolk. the ship sails at 5 pm on sunday. will we be far enough south next morning for it to be warm enough to be out at the pools. do not arrive in nassau until tuesday late morning and would like to hang out at the pool monday, but not sure at what point will be far enough south to be in warm weather. any info? also like to hang out at clubs and dance late. should this cruise have an active late night crowd, or will it be too quiet. thanks for any info you could give. MERVYN BREMMER Posted June 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2006 Can't really answer your question but want to wish you a great cruise. The last time I cruised out of Norfolk it was on one of those lovely haze gray ships....the cruise director was a real treat;) :D
Kayla4177 Posted June 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2006 I did the cruise to nowhere a few years ago and it was really cold and nasty the whole trip in October. I hope you have much better weather than we did that time of year.

I hope you have much better weather than we did that time of year. getting away from work and taking a vacation, i am sure we will have a blast no matter what the weather does. would be nice to have good weather though. with bars, casino, and nonstop food how could you not have a good time. so ready to go. theeviltwin Posted June 10, 2006 #7 Share Posted June 10, 2006 It was warm enough when we went in Oct 04. Also, keep in mind that they can cover the area over the aft pool, which is what they did on our last day coming back.
navywife06 Posted June 10, 2006 #8 Share Posted June 10, 2006 HI all, My husband will also be taking a cruise out of Norfolk in September or October of this year..... his ship will be one of the gray ones and will be taking a cruise to the Gulf... wonder if they have drink of the day? It's a long 6 month cruise with many at sea days... Oh well, October was still very warm here in Virginia Beach last year. The beach was wonderful and the weather was very summer like.. Have a great cruise!!
volfan22701 Posted June 10, 2006 Author #9 Share Posted June 10, 2006 HI all, My husband will also be taking a cruise out of Norfolk in September or October of this year..... his ship will be one of the gray ones and will be taking a cruise to the Gulf... wonder if they have drink of the day? we wish him a safe time in the gulf. i spent several years building navy vessels in the seventies, and sure don't think we added in the ammenities found on a cruise ship. his drink of the day surely won't be the same as ours. doug
