enyaw Posted June 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2006 Hello all! I've always wanted to visit Bermuda--and now I have my chance! Can't wait to see it!!! I'll be on the Crown Princess at the end of July--and was wondering if we're going to have time to see Hamilton or St. George's. I would imagine that Hamliton has all the shops and stuff.... Anyway, what's the best way to get over there and walk around? Should we take a ferry or a bus...or are we not going to have time to make it on that side of the island and just hang out near the dockyard? Thanks for all your help! cruiserssandr Posted June 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2006 The ferry would be the quickest way to get to Hamilton from the Dockyards. At the Dockyards there is a small "mall" with smaller versions of some of the stores you will find in Hamilton. What time are you docked in Dockyards? enyaw Posted June 10, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted June 10, 2006 We're docked in the "West End" from 8am to 5pm...so I'm not sure if we'll have enough time to get to Hamilton.
smeyer418 Posted June 11, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2006 more than enough time to get to Hamilton and do the Beach at Horseshoe.....Personally what I would do is take the Ferry to Hamilton First - do some shopping and then head to horseshoe by bus....spend a couple of hours at the beach and then back to the ship stopping at the Dockyards to do some more shopping before getting back on the ship(which is in the dockyards)...which I would be on no later than 4:30...there is a free shuttle bus from the shopping area to the ship... Twinsmomct Posted June 11, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 11, 2006 When we were at Horseshoe Bay, there were lots of cabs available to take you wherever you needed to go. Just make sure you're not dripping wet -- some of the cabbies won't let you ride in their cab!:)
madelinerose Posted June 14, 2006 #7 Share Posted June 14, 2006 We'll be renting a scooter/moped. Please, no replies/flames about safety. We are aware of all the safety issues and have rented mopeds in Bermuda in the past. Thanks.
pounder207 Posted June 19, 2006 #8 Share Posted June 19, 2006 There's a high speed ferry to St. George. As long as it's not a Sunday, I think St George is a lot more interesting than Hamilton.
