Intercontinental's Ambassador Club Question

I have read on the Intercontinental Hotels website that if you join their Ambassador Club (for a fee) that you get a certificate for a free second night if you book a minimum 2-night weekend stay.

 

Does a Friday & Saturday night stay qualify as a weekend stay? Just wondering about the Friday or if you have to stay Saturday/Sunday to qualify.

 

Does anyone have any experience with this?

We joined the Intercontinental Hotel club knowing that we were going to use one of their properties in Tahiti. It was so worth the $100 membership. Yes, we got a free night and an upgrade to the best room. We stayed 4 nights at the hotel and if I remember correctly the cruise left on Saturday so one of the nights was Friday night. I was not sure if they would honor the certificate so before I made the reservation with the hotel I called and emailed the IC in Tahiti and they said they would honor the certificate.

 

My suggestion to you....call the hotel and get them to tell you in writing that they will honor the certificate on your particular nights.

Contacting the hotel directly by phone or e-mail sounds like a very good idea. I'll do that. Thanks for the info!
