What's considered a VIP?

A couple of posts mentioned VIP - what is that? We're booked in a category 11 suite - is this considered VIP? Or is that for a past guest or what? What perks does a VIP get?

Yes, Cat 11 (and 12 suites) get you VIP which gets you priority boarding through the Skipper's Club if your embarkation port has it and a gold s&s card which gets you nothing extra. 10 cruises gets you platinum status (platinum s&s card) and other perks which have been posted on this forum a couple of times.

There's another thread about the same thing on this board. Basically, it's for platinum members (10+ cruises), suites and I think Carnival Vacation Club. Amenities are excellent.
