I leave for a 4 day Sovereign of the Seas cruise to Nassau with my 89 y/o dad in 3 days. I wanted to say thanks for all of the advice and help I got from everyone! Many of you answered my questions and just reading the many wonderful threads helped so much. We are taking his powered chair with us and renting a manual fold up from the company suggested here. We are taking his chair because he has benign tremor and is used to his controls and I did not want to take a chance on someone becoming road kill with a different chair! :D I have requested the toilet seat riser and the balcony ramp from RCCL. We are planning on using the manual chair in Nassau due to the info from this group. We will do our best getting around and plan on doing the taxi tour. All of this is from info I got here.

 

Thanks again and I know my Dad will have a much better experience that he would otherwise have had!

Hope you have a great cruise!!! If your 89 year old Dad is anything like my 89 year old Mom, you'll have a tough time keeping up! :)
