Boo's Mom Posted June 16, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted June 16, 2006 I have a tour company asking for payment in euros. Is that unusual?
amusea Posted June 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 17, 2006 Is it a Lithuanian tour company?? Payment is usually in the country in which the tour company is located or where most of its business is conducted.
spuds Posted June 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2006 Hi Boo's Mom, I do not think that is unusual. Our tour company in Poland is asking for payment in Euros also.
lionheart Posted June 18, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 18, 2006 It is still Litas but in the market area they took my dollars and I saw them take Euros too. I took a tour and the after the tour I walked around and back to the ship. It was a nice half day. Kurt

lionheart Posted June 19, 2006 #8 Share Posted June 19, 2006 Hi Lionheart, Hope to visit here next year. Just wondering what tour you did, where you went and was it good? Would like your opinion. Many thanks. Klaipeda old town and amber musuem. It was good not too long a nice drive to the Count's house where the amber musuem is. Walk around town, had a beer and then I walked around myself and back to the ship. Not a lot to do at this port so 4-5 hours I felt was plenty plus you might be tired after St. Petersburg and the hour changes so this is a good port not to do a real long tour.
