Sun Princess Balconies

Yes, the balcony divider can be unlocked on the Sun. We had 6 cabins in a row last year and got our cabin steward to unlock all 6. We had one very long (albeit narrow) balcony to party on. When we wanted privacy, we could pull the divider closed (but not locked). We did find that during the night sometimes the dividers would bang into the plastic furniture depending upon the movement of the ship.

We were on the Aloha deck, but I believe all standard balcony rooms have the same size balcony since they are cut from the hull of the ship which affords privacy and protection from the cold in Alaska. They are narrow but we didn't find that a problem.

We were on the Sun in March, 2005 and had two side by side balcony cabins on Baja Deck and the dividers opened no problems - would highly recommend baja deck - it's great access and very quiet as staterooms above and below. We love the Sun Princess.
