Panama port info?

I can find a lot of info on the ports in Colon, but I am confused about Balboa and Fuerte Amador. Are they different ports? Does anyone have any good info or tips on either one? I really can't find anything about Balboa.

Thanks!

Balboa and Amador are different ports on the same entrance side of the canal. A lots of changes have been made at Amador and I have no idea what is and is not completed. Amador would certainly be the nicer of the two and has been developed with tourism and outdoor activities in mind. The causeway at Amador has a nice typical restaurant and the Smithsonian Marine Facility is there. There is an island at the end which has a bunker under the hillside - it was a Noriega safehouse/hideout.
