Just Booked - Majesty!!

Recommended Posts

I'm psyched. I feel like I haven't cruised in ages (well, actually its just been a year). Booked Majesty for 8/30 4 nighter. Anyone else on that sailing??? OR anyone recently just off of Majesty??

I'm going the following week, 9/06. I'm excited to see the smaller ship as I've only been on a Voyager class. Hope you have a good time!

Was on the Sovereign in 2000 and loved it. Supposed to be basically the same ship. I just need relaxation, sun, and a pina colada and I'll be happy!!!

My friend and I are looking for the same thing. Relaxation! (Margaritas for me). I just came back from the AOS southern caribbean route so I'm already relaxed. My friend, however, is a single mom w/4 kids. Works her tail off as an RN. SOMEBODY has to take care of her! So...I volunteered to go on a cruise with her. That's what friends are for. It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it. ;)

haha! What a tough job! Hope you both have a blast! I love VOS class ships, but just don't have the time to spend a week on one now. Hopefully will be able to be back onboard one next March.

ps - margarita, daquiri, etc - I'll take anything! I'm not picky!

We were on the May 31st 4-nighter and had the time of our lives. Other than our stateroom being a bit shabby (torn upholstery with the foam showing through, worn bedspread and stained carpet - which really didn't bother me at all as it was very clean and odor-free) and incredibly small (especially for 3 people - but once again, no problem as we were only in it to sleep, shower, and change clothes), I have no complaints whatsoever. We got there at 10:30 and were on board by 11:00 -- excellent boarding process. Delicious "Yellow-Birds" and a welcome-aboard lunch buffet got us in the right mood. Muster drill was painless and rather fun.The food was wonderful in both the dining room and the Windjammer Cafe. Our 12-year-old granddaughter found the kids' program very much to her liking and frankly I didn't see all the rowdy drunks and misbehaving kids that everyone seems to like to complain about. The midnight sail-away-from-Nassau party was wild and, although we're not usually late-night party-goers, we couldn't help but be caught up in the fun. Midnight buffets were great -- too great, in fact, for my waist. We made our usual donation to the casino; I don't know why I just don't walk in and hand my money to the first crewmember I see...it would certainly save time. I thought the entertainment was a bit lame; definitely not up to the quality of entertainment on our last Carnival cruise, but I did enjoy watching the Love and Marriage Game, Majesty Quest and the last night's show (the comedian was hilarious). Crewmembers were very helpful on the whole (the only exception I saw was the lady who was serving the pizza at the Windjammer -- she definitely was not happy with her job). Disembarking was handled very well. We had to wait quite a while for our third suitcase to come out (the other two were one of the first ones to come out - go figure..) Ports: Nassau is a pit (this was my third time there and I didn't like it any better this time...NO! I! DON'T! WANT! MY! HAIR! BRAIDED!), but CocoCay was a delight and Key West is still one of my favorite spots on earth. You'll love the Majesty.

My wife and I will be on the Majesty 7/5 on a four nighter and we will be celebrating our 31st. anniversary. Any places to see in Nassau or Key West. We heard that Paradise and the aquarium were not to be missed in Nassau. There is supposed to be a water taxi that takes you to the hotel and back to the ship - have you taken it?

Thanks for the review!!
