Carnival Valor then Norwegian Jewal

We are sailing Dec 3rd on the Valor then back to back on the Norwegian Jewel.Does anyone know if they dock closeby.Is it feasible to walk from ship to ship with our bags,I can just imagine the cabbies not wanting to take us for such a short trip. Also if we board the Jewel can we then get off and go for a tour in Miami? I have a roll call for both if anyone interested in joining forces for tours.
