Hatcher Pass - Latest condition?

I have a coworker that drove to the mine yesterday. Road clear.

Be aware- that most of the major rentals out of Anchorage will not allow you to drive past the mine to Willow on the Hatcher Pass. The road will also be in very rough shape this early. You would be lucky to make 10mph. IF you have a rental that does allow it, I would take out all the available waivers and photograph the car before you leave the lot. A great many cars have GPS, so they'll know you were there.

There's new snow on the Talkeetnas today due to a good drenching rain the past few days but it is on the peaks vs. the road itself. Weather is clearing this afternoon but more rain expected tonight. Looks like snow fell above the 3500 ft mark.

Thanks BQ and Chenega...

Look like I might need to see it myself and check them out. It seems to be little rainy days in AK now :P Hopefully, it won't effect my trip too much.

I'm off to Seattle early morning. My journey will start soon
