lomillerin Posted June 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2006 We are planning to rent a car after our cruise. We are in Waikiki at the HHV for 3 nights. We have the car booked for the entire time. Is this best? We want to go to Pearl Harbor/North Shore one day and Diamond Head one morning. The rest of the time we want to hang around hotel and go to center of Waikiki. With the cost of parking, should we just rent for the one day to Pearl Harbor/North Shore and take taxi's/public transportation for everything else. We would have to take a taxi to HHV after leaving the cruise. I thought we could do Pearl Harbor and North Shore on our last day and rent the car that day. Our flight is not until 10:50pm. What do all the experts think? Car rental entire time? Other options? I am also thinking that we shouldn't drive to center of Waikiki because we would have to pay to park there also??? CruisinMK Posted June 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2006 There are so many options. I posted one possible car rental itinerary here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=366960 You could also go around north shore and see haleiwa, hike around waimea falls park. lomillerin Posted June 25, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted June 25, 2006 Should we have a car for the full 3 nights or just one day? We plan to spend quite a bit of time just at the hotel during the day to swim and then around Waikiki in the evening.
