B-52 Posted June 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2006 Will be in this July. After our SNUBA at Stingray city, we have a few hrs. to kill before we get back to the ship. What we want to do is find the place to rent wave runners. What is the best you can recommend? We are all adults, all want to be drivers, no passengers. Thanks in advance. twinkletoes4445 Posted June 24, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2006 We stayed in the condos next to the Marriott Beach Hotel, and rented wave runners from Red Sail. It seems to me that they had 3 or 4 waverunners there. You might check with them and see how many they have at any given location (depending on how many you need), and see if you can reserve them ahead of time. TheWog Posted June 26, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 26, 2006 Red Sail wouldn't rent to us the day we were at the Courtyard Beach since the waves were a bit much. We walked down the beach to Sea Grape and rented there. There were plenty to be had. Cost $65 per half hour.
katie286 Posted June 29, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 29, 2006 Do you know the age that they will let you rent them? My daughter will be one month shy of her 16th birthday. Will they ask for proof?
TheWog Posted June 29, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 29, 2006 I wasn't carded, but I also am not borderline. If she looks old enough I bet that will be fine.

twinkletoes4445 Posted June 29, 2006 #8 Share Posted June 29, 2006 My daughter was 16 when she drove the wave runner in Cozumel, and I seem to remember GC had the same age requirements. I think she will be fine. My daughter didn't have ID on her (other than her cruise card) and no one asked her about an ID.
