Valor - Oct 22 - Snorkeling

We will be on the Valor Oct 22 and one of our stops is St. Maarten - Where is the best place to snorkel in St. Maarten.

 

I heard Orient Beach, Dawn Beach and Little Bay Beach - ?? Anyone?

 

I have searched and searched the boards and I never found what I was looking for - that is why I am posting this on the CCL board. Thanks!

We were in St. Martin on the Valor in March. St. Martin is not known for its snorkeling, but we went to Dawn Beach and there was a good amount of coral and fish to see. I even followed a large stingray around for a while. Word of caution though, the water can be a little choppy.

Not sure about the snorkeling but St Maartin has several great beaches and shopping districts. I'll see you onboard as I am also booked on that cruise.

 

Carnival has, at my request, lowered the price of the cruise 3 times since I originally booked it. Everytime they send me an email about a sale I call them and if the price is lower they modify my booking for the better price.
