corkscrew?

If you bring your own wine onboard, do you have to pack a corkscrew or can the steward provide you with one?

I brought my own onto the Crown last week. I should have asked our steward if he could find one. I think I would still take one regardless just to be safe.

I think we will bring our own corkscrew. Just remember to put it in your checked luggage not your carry-on.

Just off the Coral. Yes bring your own!!! If not you must call room service and they will come and open your bottle, but not leave you a corkscrew to use in the Stateroom. It was a real pain, till we purchased one on shore.

We also borrowed one from the room steward....then he takes it back. It is a pain in the *$*@. Bring your own, its alot easier. We were on the Dawn.

We used to be able to get a corkscrew from our cabin steward, but evidently too many people were taking home corkscrews as a souvenir.:rolleyes:

You should bring your own corkscrew. The room steward have a limited amount of them and it should be used for the people buying the booze from the ship. Same with bottle openers for your beer. If you do borrow one from the steward, I would hope you give an extra tip. We tipped extra for a bottle opener to open the beer from the mini bar.(sometimes we forget to bring one). Also if you are buying liquor at the port area, you can probably buy a cheap corkscrew at the same time.

You can buy a Princess souvenir corkscrew in the ship shop for about $5. We bought one on our first Princess cruise and always pack it when we cruise.
