Pride of America/ Best Views

Is there a better side to book a cabin on to maximize the Hawaiian scenery on this ship? I am especially interested on knowing which side is best for viewing the lava flowing into the sea at night.

Thank you!

I am curious about this too. We just booked port side for a Nov. 2007 sailing. It looks to me like the way the itinerary runs, port is generally the island side and starboard is the ocean side. But I am not sure. . .

When the ship cruises by the lava flow, it makes a full turn so that both sides of the ship get a good view. They also do this when sailing by the NaPali Coast line in Kauai.

We were on the starboard side of the ship. Our view in port was usually the pier (not pretty).
