Destiny Vs. Victory-Staffing Numbers

Hello all,

I'm doing a little research for booking my 2007 cruise. I stumbled onto an itinerary that I like and it's on the Destiny which looks like a beautiful ship. I was looking at the ships highlites and noticed that the Destiny carries about 600 more passengers than the Victory (sailed on her in 2005), but has about 60 less crew.

I was wondering if anyone has any service peoblems on the Destiny as opposed to a ship with the passenger capacity of the Valor.

I'm sure if I book that itinerary I will get superb service as it will be my 4th cruise with Carnival, and there is a good reason why DH and I keep going back! But it seems like a huge difference to me.

Thanks for any information!

Whatever you read was in error. The pax and staff #s for the Destiny and Victory/Triumph are virtually identical.

Destiny:

Full guest occupancy: 3400

Normal occupancy (based on 2 per cabin): 2642

Crew:

. Total officers and crew: 1050

. Guests to crew: 1 crew for every 2 guests

Victory:

Full guest occupancy: 3470

Normal occupancy (based on 2 per cabin): 2758

Crew:

. Total officers and crew: 1090

. Guests to crew: 1 crew for every 2 guests

And the crew to guest ratio on the Valor is almost identical as well.
