Onboard Booking

I am back to considering a Disney Cruise vacation for next summer after convincing myself that RCCL's Explorer out of NJ would be best. What changed my mind? My brother-in-law and his family were just transferred to the Orlando area which would make a week long Florida vacation worthwhile (combine 4 night cruise and then spend a few days with the family). I remember seeing it somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. But I remember reading about booking another cruise while you are still onboard the ship and they offer a discount off of that cruise. How much of a discount is usually offered for booking your next cruise while still onboard? If we like the 4 nighter, I might consider doing a 7 night the next time. Although, RCCL is still tempting since they are cheaper or equal for longer cruises plus 3 of their ships sail within 3 hours of my home (Explorer, Empress, and Granduer). Thanks in advance for the info.

Consider asking if your brother wants to go on the cruise. He'll be eligible for the Florida resident discount.

The on-board discount usually offers a rate better than you can get anywhere else. The good part is that you can sign up for your next cruise while onboard and get the discount then if you change your mind later, it's still possible to get a refund.

We were eligible for a 10% off and a stateroom credit. I can't find the credit right now but I think it was at least $150.00. When we did that, DCL transferred our reservation right to AAA - onboard. That way, AAA usually matches the stateroom credit.
