murphyis1 Posted July 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2006 I booked our Galapagos trip for late October (our anniversary) but just recently read in a travel guide that this time of year has the roughest seas. The book didn't really describe how rough it gets...any advice from those who have experience?
cruisePRN Posted July 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2006 I went in early Oct 2005 and the sea was calm and the weather was perfect. You will have a wonderful time, relax.
Rare Roland4 Posted July 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2006 According to all five of the naturalists on our cruise two weeks ago, the roughest seas are from July to September when the Humboldt (Antarctic) and Mid-Equatorial currents, which are both cold water currents, are at their strongest. You should be fine. Enjoy. We sure did!
