Shore Excurisions in Dubrovnik?

Has anyone taken any of the shore excursions offered by RCCL in Dubrovnik? Will be there in Oct. and was looking at< Highlights of Dubrovnik Riviera,> Seaside Resort of Cavtat & Dubrovnik. Thanks for the info. Chris

have not taken the shore excurion, but if you are interested in Dubrovnik as opposed to surrounding countryside, do it on your own. It is a quick and cheap taxi ride from port to town and the city is very compact- you can easily walk from one end of town to the other in 10 minutes or less. The entire town is walled in so you can't get lost if you tried and there are plenty of thing to do, including walking on top of the walls.

Didn't cruise the same line but did do a ships excursion to the Knonavle countryside and Cavtat in May. We loved Cavtat, it is a darling little beach town. We spent a couple hours there and could have stayed longer. Our particular tour dropped us off at Dubrovnik and we we able to stay as long as we wanted and return via shuttle bus later in the afternoon.

 

We did bump into some people from our rollcall in Cavtat who had taken the public bus to Cavtat and I believe they said it was about 5 euros. They were little ferry boats that went from Cavtat to Dubrovnik so if we ever end up in Croatia again, I think we'll try that.
