Renaissance Fort Lauderdale - GREAT DEAL

If you are traveling between August 1 and Sept 30, travelzoo.com is offering rooms for $89/night including weekends. You have to book by July 14.

It doesn't help me for our Oct cruise, and I just missed a $69/night rate for the Fort Lauderdale Grande which needed to be booked by July 5. So I guess it's back to Priceline and searching for other great deals.

Hopefully someone will be able to use this info and get a great deal.

Thanks auntlatoya!

Just booked this and got the $89 rate for 2 double beds. I see from their website that they charge $14 a day for parking. Does this include the time you are staying in the hotel or just if you want to leave the car there during the cruise? $14 per day seems much higher than other hotels in the area, especially since we can park at the port for less. Since shuttle service/cab is also extra, is this hotel worth it or would it be better to stay at the Sleep Inn (have seen other positive posts on SI on this board)? I can get a similar rate there with shuttle and breakfast included.

Thanks

I was booked into this hotel for my cruise in March 2007, but cancelled because the rate for a solo room was $287 for one night. This was booked through the cruise line. As far as I know it did not include breakfast for that cost.

Cruiser -

I have never stayed here. In fact I'm a newbie to the cruise world and just happened upon this deal while searching for a hotel room pre-cruise. While researching on the boards, I saw that a lot of people talked about this hotel and tried to get it on Priceline for about this same price.

I'm sorry I'm not much help, but here's a link for another thread where some of your questions have been answered.
