CruisinOnWheels Posted July 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2006 Does anyone know about RCI's smoking policy while onboard? Can you smoke in your room, or only in designated outside areas??
pcur Posted July 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2006 One side of the ship is designated smoking, inside and out. Check for the signs. Some inside public rooms don't allow smoking at all, but you can smoke in the casino. Not sure about the cabins, but someone else will post about that. Alexis Posted July 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2006 Yes it is. In bars, in all cabins and on all balconies. One side of the ship is considered smoking and one side is non smoking on the open decks. Smoking is allowed in the casino. Some casinos have a non smoking area. There is no smoking in the theater, the dining room or the Windjammer buffet. If there are more places, I don't remember. Hi Pcur. ;)
pcur Posted July 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 10, 2006 Hey, Alexis! So, you leave the heat back here in the West, and end up drowning this summer on the East Coast, huh? It was 104 here yesterday, and we thought they were nuts last week for announcing a "cooling trend" of 94. However, THIS week we agree. Take care.....sorry for the OT post. ryaninc Posted July 10, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 10, 2006 FYI, I found out last year that the policy is different concerning cigarettes and cigars. Some places, like the casino, allow cigarettes but not cigars. So depending on what you're smoking, you might want to ask first. It'd be a shame to light up an expensive cigar somewhere where it's not allowed and be forced to put it out. :(

Best to ask. ;) Hi pcur, We lucked out and didn't flood here in our area. It was close. :(
