Darcy03231 Posted July 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2006 We rented jetskis on the beach right out behind Atlantis. I didn't see anyone renting snorkel gear there.

snista Posted July 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 10, 2006 did you have to pay to go on the beach there? There is a public beach (free) right down from Atlantis. They have jet skis, banana boats, parasailing and everything there. Just take a taxi and tell the driver to take you to the Paradise Island Public Beach. They will know. It's beautiful there. We were just there a couple of weeks ago. Bargain with them on the jetski price. We got $50 for 45 mins. They were much higher but it had just rained and the beach was empty. runner15km Posted July 10, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 10, 2006 The public entrance is right next to RIU Hotel, Paradise Island. I believe they call this area Cabbage beach. http://community.webshots.com/photo/94223251/1094235447030169747Cpkkta
Patinthehat Posted July 10, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 10, 2006 Is there a min. age for Jet Skiing? I am 16 and have my boating licence (I think only valid in Canada, but anyway), will I be allowed to use them? That beach sounds like a lot of fun. Darcy03231 Posted July 10, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 10, 2006 When we were there you had to be 16 and have a valid driver's license (they did check my daughter's).
