blackbird71 Posted July 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2006 From the Aug. Cruise Travel letters with info supplied by the editors. The heel was laid in 1991 in the old Soviet Union and the Navigator was to be a Spy  ship. They had the hull finished when the Soviet Union went down and for many years the "Navigator" sat in the yard in Russia. The RSSC(or ship owners) brought the hull down to Italy and the ship we know as the Navigator was finished in 1999.
JPR Posted July 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2006 I believe you meant to write "when was the keel laid" not "when was the heel laid"!

sailorgirl Posted August 6, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2006 What fun! I am a big spy story fan and as a little girl would find clues that suggested the Russians had landed! But has anyone been on Galaxy who can give me some feedback?
